Discngine and Nanome are partnering up to enhance the structure-based drug design experience

Discngine, an exponentially growing scientific R&D and Lab informatics solution and services company, and Nanome, an immersive real-time collaboration platform using Virtual Reality, are joining forces to bring scientists to new and exciting horizons.

Discngine’s 3decision software successfully stores and transforms protein-ligand structural data into a knowledge database. Together with Nanome, we aim to facilitate structure-guided drug discovery by maximizing the experience in Virtual Reality. Our vision is to ensure a better understanding of 3D structures, in all their complexity, which number is dramatically increasing. Instead of looking at the screen, we deliver a new experience by providing all necessary structural information in the user's hand.

In the era of virtual meetings, our solution's advantage will be to overcome communication and collaboration boundaries due to the lack of personal interactions. Leveraging remote communication, team members will work closely and more efficiently. With 3decision in VR, they will be able to entirely exploit the structural knowledge in a new and advanced way to accelerate drug-design processes.

Our vision as partners is to transform the way knowledge of molecular structures is used daily by maximizing the experience in VR. Together with Discngine, we aim to help drug discovery teams leverage immersive communication and collaboration for more effective drug design decision making.
— Edgardo Leija, CXO & Co-founder at Nanome, Inc.

Imagine if you could have structure information in your hands instead of looking at the screen. And now imagine how beneficial it would be if you could immerse in the protein binding site with a colleague to decide how to best optimize your ligand further!
— Lorena Zara, Customer Success Manager at Discngine
